Description : Jaeden Armor, perhaps the most technologically advanced armor
ever created proved very useful in the most recent battles between the Jedi and the
Vuuzhan Vong. However the armor began showwing its weaknesses. While resistant to most
Vong's conventional weaponry, the armor itself was in someways handicapping the Jedi.
One of the most significant is its lack of providing mobility to the wearer. The reenforced
plating and the microfibril chainmail suit proved to inhibit the many jedi of their lightsaber
movements and their agility. Lead by the former team of the Maw Installation who created the
Crusher, the development of the Mark III armor began. Utilizing technology used to create the
nearly imperveous hull of the Sun Crusher, micro-crystalline sheets of plating embedded into
special flexible composite metals. Incredibly, the special materials were much like regular cloth
padding yet gave the user a nearly impervious layer of armor that could withstand all but the
most heaviest weapons employed by the Vong. Initial trials proved to be staggering, in one skirmish
between 26 Vong and 4 Mark III clad Jedi on the moon of Sullust, 12 Vong were killed 3 wounded and
the rest were in full retreat without a single Jedi casualty. While not as great of a test as
a full scale battle, the Mark II armor past its test. However, the armor has its price. The materials
used in the design are incredibly rare and some materials are entirely man-made and require months
of curing before they are ready for construction. In fact, only 12 units were built and only
20 more can be built every year. Because of this the Mark II still are the dominant type of
Jaeden Armor employed by the New Jedi Order. In fact only the most highly trainded Jedi are given
the Mark III's, including Luke Skywalker, Kyp Durron, Kyle Katarn and Mara Jade. A Mark III Type B
is currently being developed to use more conventional materials but will be almost identical to
the Mark III.
This skin pack has both multiplayer and single player versions of Kyle Katarn, Luke Skywalker, and Kyp
Durron. You must make sure that for single player that you only choose one of the files with the
extention "_SP." There will be conflicts if you put all three in the base folder. As for the multiplayer
skins, just put all of the non "_SP" files in the base folder. I never caught any problems in this version
of the skins yet there may be some minor glitches using the skins in team games that will happen
every so often.
