Intro : This mod was design for Jedi Knight II players (the still living ones)
As a Jka and Jk2 v1.02 player, I noticed that there were no more good new mod released
and that people always used the same files.
So I made this mod in order to break the monotony , and improve the quality of the game.

I seperated as much as I could the files to allow people really to be able to choose his
way to play. There are several sabers effects and sabers to let you the choice of the
combinations.

IMPORTANT : please do only use one saber effect mod or one saber mod in the same time !
For example it won' t work if you have Katana and SW Sabers in the same time in your
base folder, so, be sure to have only one at once in base directory if you don't want ant conflict.

Instructions : extract the .pk3 files and put them in your base folder directory
------------ default path : C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\base















The following part includes descriptions of all files contained in the mod, feel free to have a look
at the screenshots for a better preview... ENJOY





Files included and descriptions :



-gold edition : This .pk3 will change the introduction video when you launch the game,
change the main menu in MP (music of RC), change the console, change the invushell (the buble around you
when you spawn) and the shield effect : it will be red.
It also change the splash screen when you' re loading an unknow map



-MATT' s stances : this file will change your animations and was designed for duel fighting.
It will replace your left and right rolls by a butterfly kick (like Maul in ep1),
forward and backward rolls by butterfly combos tricks,
taunt by a cool saber throwing, the ugly tight backflip by a roll backfip.
In blue stance your character will hold his saber down and in back.
In yellow stance you will stand like you usually do in red stance but now arms are moving
like if your character was breathing.
In red stance you hold your saber on the back, ready to hit.
Last thing...I changed the blue backstab anim to a great looking double hit back.



-SW Sabers : This mod will replace your tiny and sad saberblade by a blade like you
can see in SW movies, the shapes are more heavy and colors, more saturated
for an impressive result. Also new sounds added : more agressive for a pure gameplay experience.
I was helped by SEX Neokin in making the saberblades, and I take no credit
for the sounds that I didn' t make.





-Magicblades : This is a saber efx mod I made for using with a melee weapon (like a sword,
a katana, a knife,...). Of course you can use it with a lightsaber! but it won' t look
really "Star Wars". This replaces the default blood_sparks.efx by a blue smoke with little
stars as blood drops, and the saber_block.efx by an energy ball, a little lightning, and
flaretails like an ice explosion.
NOTE : for the saber_block.efx, I used the great work of Ryan (creator of FF7 AC Mod), so
big thanks to him for letting me base my work on his.



-Katana : I take no credit for the model of this Katana, because it' s not my work.
I only reskined the blade and the hilt, and added a new shader and sabertrail that
will give you a smooth sabertrail colored as your lightsaber would be.

I used a few FF7 AC Mod sounds to make it more realistic, so thanks to Ryan again.





-MovieClashModJk2 : this mod was made by Sanj for JKA, I take no creadit at all for it, but it makes
your fights so realistic that it had to be released in a Jk2 mod.
It will erase all blood spark or saber effect to make everytime a yellow flare clash
exactly like it looks in the movies.

Known bugs : only one found, with MATT' s stances, I had a problem with a bot a few times, he stayed in a
weird position during a few seconds (I am not sure but the bug could come from my Jk2 version 1.02)

Softwears used : Mainly Photoshop CS for all the textures, Quake Video Maker (QVM) for the opening logo,
EffectsEd for the effects, MD3 View for skinning, and wordpad for shaders and anims.
