File Name : duel_mtemple.pk3
File Size : 616kb
Date Released : 01/5/2002
Supported Gametypes : Duel
Intructions : Just put the duel_mtemple.pk3 in gamedata\\base\\ in your
game directory, and it is selectable among the usual
Multiplayer maps.
Description : This map is meant to resemble a temple, an aztec temple actually,
as for how well I managed that I don\'t know since I had no reference
material to look at but I\'m somewhat pleased with what I managed to
make.
As you will notice this map is a bit lager than an usual dueling map,
this offers you with different ways to do battle. Not only by giving you
a number of different spots to do battle but also in the way of how you
are going to act. Will you run away and hide until you can heal or will you
stay and get burnt by that nasty looking lightsaber?
As for the flow of the battle: Although the map is bigger than usual there
isn\'t all that many places to hide, and even if you manage to hide remember
that your opponent can see most of the map from ontop of the temple.
- Saber and Force only, it\'s a dueling map after all.
Comments : Ever since the days of Duke Nukem 3D I\'ve wanted to make a
multiplayer map based around a aztec like temple. Since the
map editor for Duke pretty much blew it never happened.
But now is now and here is the map, In truth the map is based
on a FFA map I\'m currently making, although scaled down a bit
to fit dueling more.
It\'s still kind of large for a dueling map, but think of it as
a chance to behave bravely in the heat of battle or whatever,
will you run and hide or face your foe head on even though you
seem to lose?
Thanks to-----------------------------------------------------------
Me for actually FINISHING a map for once, this is the
first map I\'ve ever released, and the first map I\'ve ever done
with the quake 3 engine.
rut-wa jodar (It\'s a nick, not a name) for making the bot routes.
Various people on various forums for answering my annoying questions.
