DESCRIPTION: Merios had an idea of what a more realistic(in our world) saber would be like. This is that saber. On this saber, there is a rod with a mirror attached to bounce the beam back, since a laser or plasma beam cant simply stop.
The saber includes SP support for both the regular, and hilt only versions.
Now for the Star Wars bit: This hilt was built using the Cortosis Weave.
"Cortosis weave was a descriptor for equipment that had been crafted utilizing cortosis ore. This was traditionally put into swords or other melee weapons but could also be fashioned into armor or other gear. Cortosis weave was employed primarily because it made the weapon able to withstand lightsaber blows. Weapons needed very little cortosis to be effective but armor required a substantially larger amount. The greater quantity provided an additional benefit to wearers though- a lightsaber would deactivate after contact was made with cortosis armor. Cortosis was extremely rare though and, thus, extremely expensive, resulting in few weapons and armor made with it."

That explains why the mirror doesnt break, and why another saber cannot break the rod.
Credits: Merios for the saber design and awesome skin.
