Map description : this is just a taster for my single player Mos Espa map which will be included as part of The Phantom Menace Total Conversion which will be released thru jkmods.com sometime soon. I wanted everyone to see my Slave Quarters as they stand and I thought the best way to do this was to release it as a duel map. This map can be played in ffa of course, but saber only is best as you're unlikely to find any powerups... Have fun!

File Size (.bsp) : 7209 kb

Date Released : v1. Friday 30th July 2004
v2. Friday 13th August 2004
v3. Friday 27th August 2004

I BUILT ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING IN THE MAP COMPLETELY FROM SCRATCH. NOW EMPLOY ME! (PLEASE)

================================================================

NOTES : Whereas the v2. update addressed the removal of the npc's from v1, a few jawas and some droids, which I believe affected framerate, plus the addition of some decal scorching around the end of several pipes, v3. has addressed the weathering of wall textures around the base of the slave quarter structures. There should be lots more to see in this particular area once it is released as part of the Phantom Menace tc! I think I'll leave the updates now...

Thanks to : This time I have a lot of new people to thank. [JEDI] Adam of jkmods.com for asking me to map Mos Espa for The Phantom Menace Total Conversion project. This map has sprung from his invitation and nothing else. Awfully sorry for his recent bad bad news. May the Force be with you, pal.

Also to Sith-J-Cull for his endless patience and advice, and for hosting me as Guest Mapper on his site! Also to LivingDeadJedi for advice and testing whenever it was needed. Two great guys. Plus Sathiron for his priceless hints and all the other friends I've made in the mapping world.

Of course Mr. George Lucas, plus everyone else who made this possible, including the people who developed the software - and Di for putting up with it! Not forgetting my kids Amy and Adam for their priceless beta testing.

(((And of course the [MAD] guys and [MAD]Pharen for his music... again...)))

It's funny how this music fits in so well with this map when in fact it was mixed for my Mos Eisley Meanstreets map. It's a mixture of good and evil tunes and reflects the anger born in Vader from so innocent a setting.
