1) Extract the *.pk3 into the GameData\base\ directory

I've never liked the default lightsaber. In my opinion, it doesn't look like something Kyle Katarn would design. I'm a believer in lineage in lightsaber design; i.e., that the Obi-Wan Kenobi saber resembles the Qui-Gon Jinn saber for a reason. Given that, the Kyle Katarn saber should be influenced by the Qu Rahn saber, the Yun saber and the Luke Skywalker saber, if you assume Luke completed Kyle's training. The Katarn saber should also be a parent of the Mara Jade saber given that Kyle trained her in MotS. (I used the Parks version of Mara's saber for reference.) Well, after more designs than I could possibly number, I couldn't find a combination of those four that worked. After weeks of frustration, I realized I'd left out one more parent: Kyle's Bryar Pistol. I'm surprisingly pleased with the result. (I hate most of what I make.)
