INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
0) It's better to install 1.0.1 patch first.
1) Open the GameData folder that contains jamp.exe and jasp.exe files.
2) Enable extensions. To do this, open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer), choose "Tools -> Folder Options..." from the Menu, then select "View" tab page. Under "Advanced Settings" uncheck "Hide file extensions for known file types" and click Ok.
3) Rename jamp.exe to jamp_ATI_Patch.exe and jasp.exe to jasp_ATI_Patch.exe.
4) Unpack jamp.exe and jasp.exe from this archive to the GameData folder.
5) Have fun!
When you running my jamp(jasp) from archive, this just copying jamp(jasp)_ATI_Patch to GameData folder with quake3 name and launching it. Also, it parsing all the arguments to the game. This is very universal way, so it should work on all Q3-based games.
DESCRIPTION: After updating the video card drivers, ATI cards owners discovered that Jedi Academy no longer runs. The game displays the "application error" message. If you had this problem, this patch is created for you.
A simple method to fix JA on ATI Card problems. ATI driver running in special compability mode for quake3. Jedi Academy is based on Q3, so this compability mode works on JKA, too. To enable compability mode for Jedi Academy you should rename your game executable to quake3.exe. The only problems is that JKA has two executables, and renaming causes problems on running mods. So, I created this fix to avoid this problems.
