Installation:
Place in ...Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi AcademyGameDatabase folder.
Uninstallation:
Remove from the aforementioned folder.
Basic Info: This is a slight modification made to Tyrael64's Dark Link skin of Dan Kapphahn's Link model. As in line with my planned work, it is a representation of one of my story characters. I spent maybe an hour or two at most working on this, as the changes were small and simple.
Character Background:
After a few skirmishes with his light side, Dark Link disappeared from the Legend of Zelda series. My story briefly explains this. After a while, Dark Link's hatred of his former master (Link) slowly diminished, causing him to stop hunting him down. He later wandered the lands of Hyrule, taking on jobs here and there, mostly as a mercenary, bodyguard, or construction laborer. Eventually, he met up with a gang of four individuals who travelled to the land of Hyrule via a space-time portal - Mike, Nelaru, Magilerst, and Forzinal. They being borderline mercenaries like himself, he fell right in line with the four of them. After a few years, they came upon a portal. Saying farewell to the land of Hyrule, they entered it. Dark Link got separated from them, and was lost.
He eventually exited though another portal. This left him many thousands of years before the events in Ocarina of Time, as well as being on the planet of Raptorsis I of the Raptorsis System. There, he met up with Mike's other half. He joined in to their war against the Empire of the SW Galaxy. At this time, he gained the new name of Lesinil, which means 'shadow' in an ancient Raptorian dialect. During this war, his Dark Master Sword and Dark Hylian Shield, along with his left forearm, were severed by a lightsaber. He then recieves a mechanical forearm from one of his comrades, and a new sword of adamantite from another. Later, he adopts a whole new set of clothing. This model represents him as he first makes his appearance in my story.
Changes:
- Skin lightened from a darker grey to a kind of ashen, light grey color
- Eyes changed from solid red orbs to normal eyes with red irises. The eye design is a recolored version of the original Link's eye.
- Hair changed to a very light grey, almost white
- TEAM SKINS!
- BOT SUPPORT!
- SP SUPPORT!
- NPC SUPPORT! (npc name = 'Lesinil', without the quotes)
Potential Updates:
Three new models. The first will be the same as this, albiet capless. The second will be with a mechanical left forearm. This model will also offer a version with the forearm removed. The third will represent him in his new clothing. In addition, I plan on eventually releasing with him several 'sabers' - the Dark Master Sword, the Dark Hylian Shield, a broken Dark Master Sword, and his new sword. Date of release is currently unknown.
Legal Parts and Pieces:
As the original model/skin was give to the masses freely (as long as it was kept to JK2files.com, JK3Files.com (combined into filefront), and Lucasfiles.com) , I do not care if you use this skin at all for your own purposes. If it contains any of my modifications/ideas, simply give me credit, otherwise, all credit goes to the original creators.
Link, and by extension, Dark Link is the property of Nintendo. If you know who Link is, and don't know this, YOU FAIL!
This mod is no way supported by LucasArts, Raven Software, Activision, or any other companies that may have played a role in creating Jedi Academy. I assume no personal resonsibility as to any game failures, problems, etc. that may result from this skin, as it has caused none to mine.
