FM3CE Highlights

New Animation System and Saber Forms

- OJP (v1.2) Animations: Thanks to our Trade AgreementPartnership with the (OJP) Open Jedi Project Team we were able to acquire improved updated animations.

- Over 21 Saber Strategies to choose from: (7 Single, 11 Specialty, Jar-Kai, and Staff).

- 7 Forms of Single Saber Combat: These are represented in the mod; Shii-Cho, Makashi, Soresu, Ataru, Djem-So, Niman, and Juyo.

- 11 Specialty Saber Forms: Players can choose a specialization in a particular form and receive certain improved abilities (but will not have access to the full form selections).

- Jar-Kai (Dual): is represented in either Jedi (Anakin) or Sith (Ventress) Hilt selections.

- Staff: New modified Staff form available.

Note: To show the wide range of variances between each fighting form a "Melee Scale1" and "Melee Scale2" buttons were added. See buttons section below for more information.

Fm3CE Menu Selections

(Lower Ingame Menu Bar Buttons)

- Music: 45 Music Soundtracks to choose from consisting of various JA original soundtracks and 6 additional ones (5 from the Sith J Culls EP III Map pack and 1 from the JediCouncilGCX Map).

- Bonus Buttons: Contains a total of 10 On & Off buttons: Show FPS, Map-Timer, Lagometer, HUD Display, CrosshairColor, Saber Trail, Speed Trail, Draw Gun, Map Items 2D, and Disable Sky.

- Configs: Contains 60 Save and 60 Selection slots so you can save your configuration for each class. There are a total of 2 Save and Select slots for each class (Jedi and Sith both have 2 extra additional slots).

- Optimize: To help improve game performance and reduce lag an advanced optimizer has been added. You can eiher select one of 5 pre-configs based on your ping. For manual control there 5 slide buttons along with 4 push buttons that you can use in conjunction with lagometer. (Note): This is not a "How-to-guide" on use of the lagometer. If want to learn how to read the lagometer I recommend researching it online to make the best use of the optimizer.

- XBinds: You can setup bind keys for selections such as a 4th person view, zoom in-out, a demo recorder and hotkeys for inventory items (Bacta, Big Bacta, Stationary Shield, Seeker Drone, Sentry Drone, E-Web Turret, Westor Pistols).

- Suicide: This allows your character to instantly commit suicide.

(Melee Scale Buttons)

To help show the wide range of strengths and weaknesses of each form, 2 Saber Scale buttons were added to the Saber Forms section (click Profile, then Configure Your Blade)

- Melee Scale1 Button: View Melee Statistics for Saber Forms I-V.

- Melee Scale2 Button: View Melee Statistics for Saber Forms VI-IX, and non-Jedi Melee Weapons.

FM3CE HUDS

- Each faction (Jedi, Sith, Mercenary, Military, Species, Droids) has a unique HUD symbol.

Quick Getting Started Section

Please briefly scan through these recommendations to ensure you start off on right foot with FM3CE.

- For the Force classes, in order to draw your saber make sure you establish bind keys to be able to switch weapons. Go to Controls, Weapons, and set the Saber-Melee-Gun binds (for both the next and Previous options)

- The "1" key has been disabled (which was the traditional Saber activation button). This was necessary as it will cause a conflict with Fm3CE Saber Styles. If you try binding the "1" in FM3CE it will be unbinded.

- To Unlock level 4 Saber Forms make sure you set your saber attack powers to the full level 4. You can access this setting by clicking on Profiles, then Force Abilities.

- Once you setup all your model, key binds, etc. you should save the config for later use by clicking on the "Configs" menu and choose a Save slot that matches the class you are using. 2 Save slots per class are avaialble.

FM3CE OVERVIEW

- If you switch classes in FM3CE you will start back to a score of 0. In the past versions of FM3 you could do this without penalty. This should make for some interesting game play as players will have to be resourceful in their class selections and how to play against the timeclock during a map to achieve the best score.

- It is suggested early on that you establish key binds for weapon switching, particualty the Saber-Melee-Gun options located in the Controls-Weapons section. Due to FM3CE's modified saber & forms design you cannot draw an unlighted saber (when you draw it, it will be turned on). We also disabled the intial use of the "1" key since this was the JA default JA bind for drawing the unlit blade.

- To change classes (for non-force users) the recommended order in setting them up is as follows:
1. Press Esc key to open the Ingame Main Menu and select Profile (you will arrive to the Player Configuration screen).
a. Choose Class
b. Choose Faction
c. Choose Team Color
d. Choose model
e. Choose the "Apply Settings" for the changes to take effect (you will be placed in Spectate mode with Score of 0).

- If playing a force class the recommended order in setting them up is as follows:

a. Choose Class

2. Click on the selection to open Force Abilities

b. Press Apply Powers & return to the Player Configuration screen

a. Choose a Weapon Type
b. Choose Saber Form
c. Choose Saber Type
d. Choose Saber Color
e. Choose the "Apply Settings" for the changes to take effect (you will be placed in Spectate mode with Score of 0).

- If you are currently In-game and only wish to modify either your Model (for any class) or Saber Color then just do the following:

1. Press Esc key to open the Ingame Main Menu and select Profile (you will arrive to the Player Configuration screen).
a. Choose model (if you want want to modify it)

FM3CE Dedication

The ForceMod III Series, in my opinion, has been by far the best JK3 FFA Game. I dedicate this module to all players of past present and future. Hopefully this version inspires the return of the glory days of the Mod!

Credits

- Special thanks to Azymn, the ForceMod III creator, for his permission to continue developing the ForceMod Series.

- Thanks to Pitchest^Hearts, it was his original guidance and oversight that molded me into the player and mod developer that I am today.

- Thanks to DarthDie, member of the Open Jedi Project, who agreed to a trade agreement of technologies between our mods. We were able to incorporate many of the newer animations from the OJP 1.3 project into Fm3CE.

- Thanks to SnakeBlskn for his valuable feedback & testing of the Mod. SnakeBlskn test history (like Pitchest's) goes way back to the early beginnings of the FMIII Mod (2004) when the Mod was in its infancy.

- Thanks to Hirman in helping secure the successful release of this Mod and also his overall contributions to the Jedi Academy series.

- Thanks to all other PHRG members such as Mushik^Heart and Non-PHRG Members (Playerone) who assisted in the testing of the Module.

- Please see the Readme folder for any additional credits or work. If for some reason I missed somebody please let us know and I will gladly either add your names to the credits or remove any unauthorized or unapproved additions.
