CREDITS: Huge thanks to Lervish for the amazing Christmas hat model, without which this mod wouldn't exist (he really deserves most of the credit for this...). Thanks to RazorAce (& OJP) for the trueview & holstering code which I stole some bits from. Thanks to The One and Only and MaceCrusherMadunusus for checking that this worked.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Drop the santahats.pk3 and christmashats.cfg files into your base folder. Please not that this mod is NOT compatible with other client-side code mods such as JA+, OJP, MBII, etc.

To uninstall delete the santahats.pk3 and christmashats.cfg.

DESCRIPTION: This mod adds Christmas hats to all players. Merry Christmas!

BUGS: The Christmas hats are only set up properly for the base models - they might clip into other models. Luckily, you can add support for new models as follows: Go in game, bring down the console and type "/hats_scale 1". Now you can adjust the positioning and scale of the hat by altering "hats_scale", "hats_y", and "hats_z". Once you've got the hat looking right, note down the values you've set them to, then type "/hats_scale 0" to turn off hats editing mode.

Now open up christmashats.cfg, and add a new line:
myfancynewmodel "hats_y hats_z hats_scale"
replacing hats_y, hats_z and hats_scale by whatever you set them to.

Also, some of the stuff might not work properly if you go straight in game after loading up the map, in which case you'll need to select a different model in the profile window, then select your model again to fix this.

The hats aren't lit entirely correctly.

COMMENTS: I'm planning on getting an MBII version of this out soon. I'm in the process of writing a mini-tutorial on compiling the SDK on macs, which should be up soon somewhere.
