PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE USING ANY OF THE PREFABS IN THIS COLLECTION.

UNZIP EVERYTHING IN LuuukesPrefs.zip INTO YOUR GAMEDATA/BASE FOLDER EXCEPT FOR THIS README.

This is a collection of about 30 prefabs for use in map-making. The .map file for each prefab is included in the maps\prefabs folder in the zip folder. They're all ready to be inserted into a map, but some are more detailed than others. Some are very detailed, while others are waiting for the user to add his/her own detail.

To use the prefabs, place the "LuuukesPrefs" folder in the gamedata/base/maps folder. Place the "prefmuseum.pk3" file in your gamedata/base folder. This file includes the textures. You'll also want to hold on to the textures folder that came with the prefabs. This folder includes all the textures that you'll need to include with your map if you use the prefabs. To find out which prefabs need which textures and to see what each prefab is, open the "ReadMe.htm" file.

All the prefabs in this collection were created by Luuuke(dcrowell@comcast.net) and are available for use for free. Feel free to insert them into your map, alter them, and use them however you like. Please make sure to give Luuuke all due credit in your readme file. Thank you, and enjoy.

To use one of the prefabs, simply open the map in Radiant that you want to insert the prefab into. Then click Edit/Load Prefab... on the toolbar. Then just double click the prefab you want to insert. It should appear right around the origin in your map with all of its brushes selected so you can click and drag it to where you want it in your map.

When you zip up the map to publish it, you may need to include some textures. Some of the prefabs use textures that are not included with JKJA. A lot of the textures are from JK2 as most of the prefabs were originally made for JK2. If you look at the description in the links in the "ReadMe.htm" file, you'll notice for each prefab there's a filename and an "Included Textures" area. Under "Included Textures", you'll find the filenames of all the textures you'll need to include with that prefab in your pk3, when you wrap it up for publishing. All these textures can be found in the "textures" folder that was included with the prefabs in the zip folder.
